Our Current Projects
Schoolyard Learning Gardens
Plant Community LA has been honored to partner with local schools and PTAs on a number of projects in which we work with the students, parents, teachers and administrators to design, grow and maintain educational native plant gardens.
Sustainable Urban Farming
We work to develop dynamic educational series working with community members in historically underserved areas of Los Angeles to implement sustainable regenerative food forests, with shade and fruit trees, vegetables and herbs, all interlaced with native plants to support pollinators and help restore the ecology of the area.
Altadena Poppy Fields Project
In the wake of the fires, we’ve been offering free consultation and soil test sampling services to affected residents. This has provided us with an opportunity to get an early look at the contamination levels, and to hear from the families about the concerns and questions they have about the process ahead.

Bioremediation Weekly Office Hours
Parker Davis from Plant Community LA (PCLA) and Hardy Californians is offering free weekly office hours covering topics related to bioremediation and restoration of fire-affected landscapes.
